Exhibit February 2nd- March 1st

Closing Reception:  Wednesday, March 1st, 6-8pm

The Container Globe is a unique take on Shakespeare's classic London Globe. Mimicking the design of the original this new theatre will be built using shipping containers to create a more punk rock aesthetic to its classic cousin.

The Container Globe is the vision of founder Angus Vail and the project has been endorsed by the original Globe in London. Nicholas Leahy of Perkins Eastman is acting as the project’s lead architect and Michael Ludvik as structural engineer. Vail's vision is to create a new, modular and accessible theatre, to bring Shakespeare and other live art to many communities. Cities of Detroit, in Michigan and Wellington in New Zealand have expressed interest.

Please join us for this exhibit which explores the mission of the Container Globe. We'll have multimedia  of not only how the Globe will be built but we'll also have models of how it will look and function as a truly new type of theatre and all-round performance venue.

The Container Globe has been featured in ArchDaily, The Architects Newspaper, Business Insider, Stuff, Curbed Detroit, and Detroit Free Press to name a few.
